Our Company
V Spirit Brands was founded by husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Carl and Nicole Churchill, with a clear ambition to build a modern British spirits company rooted in quality, craft and long-term vision.
What began with a single experimental still in a small builder’s yard has grown into a purpose-built distillery in Hampshire, producing spirits designed to challenge expectations and move categories forward.
Today, the business is focused on building a portfolio of premium British spirits, led by V Rum and the launch of Sugar Snake Gin, with future plans to expand into vodka and whisky as the brand continues to grow in the UK and internationally.

V Spirit Brands is led by founders Carl and Nicole Churchill, who set the vision and direction of the company, alongside Managing Director Johnny Neill.
Johnny is one of the most respected names in the British spirits industry, with decades of experience building and developing globally recognised gin brands. He brings deep category knowledge, creative insight and a strong understanding of how to build successful spirits brands on an international scale.
Together, the leadership team share a clear ambition: to create a portfolio of modern British spirits brands with global potential, built on authenticity, quality craftsmanship and long-term thinking.
Our Team
Our Distillery & Head Distiller
At the heart of V Spirit Brands is our Hampshire distillery, where every spirit in the portfolio is produced.
The site gives us full control of production, from raw material through to final spirit, allowing us to focus on consistency, quality and craft at every stage. With the capacity to produce up to 1 million bottles a year, the distillery is built to support both ambition and scale while staying true to a hands-on approach.
The distillery is led by award-winning Head Distiller Mikey Melrose, whose expertise, technical skill and creative approach define the character of every spirit we produce. Working across development, distillation and flavour creation, Mikey ensures each product reflects the standards, intent and personality of the V Spirit Brands portfolio.
